What to Expect

We would love for you to visit!

Holy Cross is a growing, vibrant, Christ-centered, and Spirit-filled church on Sullivan’s Island. As people whose lives have been transformed by the radical love of Jesus, we are passionate about knowing him and participating in his mission in our community and the world.

Each Sunday we gather in God’s holy presence to worship and give thanks for who he is and what he has done for us.  We come as we are, imperfect and broken people, expecting God to speak truth to us and demonstrate the power of his saving grace among us. Whether you are just curious about the Christian faith and Jesus or longing to connect with others who have come to know Jesus, our hope for you this morning is that you have a personal encounter with the living God and experience the freedom that is yours in Christ Jesus.

What We Believe Our Staff

Newcomers Lunch

We hope you will join us for lunch at a local restaurant after worship for a delicious meal, great conversation, and fellowship. This is a monthly opportunity to meet other folks like yourself who are new to Holy Cross, as well as members and some of the Holy Cross clergy. If you are new to Holy Cross, lunch is on us!

FAQ

We love children at Holy Cross and seek to join you — their parents — in supporting their young lives in Christ. On Sundays and throughout the week at Holy Cross, there are a number of growing opportunities for children of all ages (and even a few for their parents, too!) including Life Groups, HIS School and events. To learn more, please visit our Family ministry page.

We are happy to have you join us and we want you to feel comfortable, allowing you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.

In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt while others prefer to wear their “Sunday best".

Our campus offers both streetside parking (along Middle Street and Jasper Boulevard) and two parking lots on either side of the church.

Our Sunday services are usually around 75-90 minutes.

Missed one of our Sunday Services? That's okay! We record our sermons given at Sullivan's Island and Daniel Island, and upload them on Mondays. Click here to access sermons you have missed.

On Wednesday mornings, we hold a mid-week Eucharist at 10:00 AM in our Historic Church. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Throughout the week, we host multiple life groups for all ages, as well as a variety of ministry groups such as Alpha, GriefShare, and more. To learn more, please visit our Events page.
